Senior Accountant / FP&A - Investment Firm

A top-tier Boston investment firm is looking for a Senior Accountant to support their operations. It's a heavy finance role with some accounting elements, so it's good opportunity to leverage public accounting experience and make the transition into finance with a top-tier investment firm. This position work closely alongside the finance group. It's a key member of the team and helps perform financial analysis on different business units. It's a mix of annual budgets, forecasting, tax reporting, SEC advising and assisting with the month-end close.

My client is offering a very aggressive compensation package to woo top talent including an aggressive base + 15% bonus + 14% profit sharing + excellent benefits.

The Day to Day:

Help support the accounting and reporting functions by working alongside the VP of Finance
Prepare and review month-end reconciliations and oversee monthly close process
Prepare deliverables such as quarterly & financial reporting, audits and monthly close process
Prepare financial statements as needed
Reconcile company accounts and build schedules for expenses
Interact with international offices to resolve international accounting issues
Provide document requests for internal audits and ensure compliance with SEC
Design and maintain internal controls

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
At least 2 years of Big 10+ accounting experience
CPA / MBA very helpful
Strong understanding of corporate financial statements
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership
A desire for professional growth within investments and private equity
Able to handle confidential
An outside the box thinking style with a keen eye for solutions
