Job Title: Student Loan Resolution Specialist
Reports To: Collection Supervisor
Departments: Federal Student Loans

Job Description:
Maintain consistent contact with borrowers, assuring a professional and positive customer service experience.
Manage a queue of borrower accounts; record accurate and detailed notes, and update account status and borrower information as needed.
Work with borrowers to resolve their defaulted student loan accounts by negotiating reasonable payment arrangements.
Educate borrowers on the consequences of not resolving their debt, while also highlighting the available opportunities currently being offered through the Department of Education, including loan rehabilitation.
Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals, deadlines and objectives.
Adhere to consumer protection laws and F.H. Cann & Associate's standard practices and policies.
Research and locate information leading to contact with the borrower.

Job Requirements:
All applicants will be required to pass FHC?s background check and obtain a federal background clearance.
All applicants will be subject to passing a credit check.
All applicants will be required to pass an FDCPA exam and adhere to CFPB guidelines/regulations.
Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally, and identify issues and come to a resolution.
Qualified applicants must be professional, well organized, results driven and persistent, and able to work in a high volume and fast paced environment.
Demonstrate proficiency with various Internet resources used to locate borrowers as needed, in addition to basic Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and math skills.
Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good attendance and punctuality are a must!

Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent

Collections, Telemarketing, Customer Service, Financial Services or Sales experience is preferred, but not required.

This position is in a busy office environment with substantial sitting and computer work

Work Schedule:
Full time (36-40 hrs. weekly), 2 weekdays (8am-4:30pm), 2 late nights per week (11am-8pm), Friday (8am-4:30pm)
