Job Description: For spring semester (potential for work during break periods & rehire for 2017-18 academic year)

Position Responsibilities:
1. Assist Residence Education staff by providing administrative support in the Residence Education Central Office.
2. Complete mail run from Res Ed office to area(s). Distribute mail to Res Ed staff
3. Complete other administrative tasks such as filing, copying, data entry, etc.
4. Deliver supplies to RD offices (some lifting of boxes, not over 30 lbs., required).
5. Assist with preparation of materials for Opening and Closing processes.
6. Prepare advertisements for delivery to area mail room.
7. Assist with maintenance of office areas, resource room(s) and storage areas.
8. Complete other administrative work as assigned.

*May include entering data and organizing purchasing information to help with budget tracking for the department.*

Supervision Received:
1. Supervised by Business Manager and Office Manager who provide training on Residence Education goals and processes, position expectations, use of office keys, and office etiquette.

Skills Required:
1. Understanding of and commitment to confidentiality.
2. Possess basic computer skills.
3. Ability to follow work orders.
4. Valid driver’s license required.

Hiring Criteria:
1. Academic year: Must be available to work at a minimum three (3) hour block of time, averaging eight (8) to ten (10) hours per week.
2. During summer period: Must be available to work the five (5) weekdays, up to five (5) hours each day, minimum office hours being 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to accommodate mail run procedures. Typically, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (preferred, but not required to work breaks)
3. Must be free of current conduct sanctions.

This is an hourly position. Academic year rate of pay starts at $1.00 per hour over minimum wage. Summer: Add $1.00 to semester wage for summer rate. $.25 increase for returners in fall. Work-study preferred, but not required.
